Empowering Young Caregivers Through Educational Videos
Did you know there are over 5.4 million child caregivers in the United States? These children often face unique challenges as they assist loved ones with their daily tasks, navigating the world around them and their homes. Many of these tasks involve adaptive and supportive technology, like wheelchairs, lifts, and ramps. But as children encounter these devices, they may have questions, hesitations, or uncertainty about how to safely interact with them.
At Hope Loves Company, we understand that kids are naturally curious. They learn best by touching, exploring, and asking questions. That’s why we created the "Kids Are Curious" program—a safe, child-centered initiative designed to connect young caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need. By bringing together kids, caregivers, and the makers of assistive devices, this program provides hands-on learning opportunities where children can explore, ask questions, and gain confidence in using adaptive equipment.
This program wouldn’t be possible without the support of our generous sponsors, who are committed to improving the lives of those living with ALS and the families who care for them. Their contributions not only enhance accessibility and independence for individuals with ALS but also empower young caregivers by providing them with the tools and confidence to support their loved ones. We are deeply grateful for their dedication to making a difference.
