Hope Loves Company Welcomes New Executive Director
Shannon Sullivan joins Hope Loves Company from the ALS Association, MA chapter
June 21, 2022 – Hope Loves Company (HLC) is excited to introduce its newest member. Shannon Sullivan joined HLC as Executive Director in June 2022, after spending 5 years volunteering with the organization.
“I am incredibly excited to begin my journey with Hope Loves Company as Executive Director! I've always had a passion for helping others and working with kids; HLC's mission is something I've always been drawn to,” said Sullivan.
Sullivan has a history of working with a wide range of diverse and vulnerable populations across the hospital and healthcare industry. She has spent the last 10 years providing resources, services, and support to those living with ALS and their families.
“I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Shannon at Camp HLC MA for five years. She consistently arrived with enthusiasm, professionalism, dedication, experience, and energy. No doubt Shannon will bring the same commitment and skills to the mission of Hope Loves Company now as our Executive Director. We are all grateful to have her on our amazing team,” said HLC founder Jodi O’Donnell-Ames.
“We are so fortunate to be able to add someone of Shannon’s caliber to the Executive Director role at Hope Loves Company. Shannon’s passion for working with children and the ALS community is a perfect match for our culture of supporting families in need. Shannon’s experience working for nonprofit organizations, including the last eight years at the Massachusetts Chapter of the ALS Association will serve her well in her role as we continue to expand our reach and impact,” said HLC president Gary Bachrach.
Sullivan’s initial years in ALS began with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she assisted families in navigating the disease, provided resources and support as a Health Care Services Coordinator. Two years later, she began working for the ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter as a Care Services Coordinator, providing more case management and services to families in Central and Western Massachusetts. She worked her way up to Senior Care Services Coordinator, and for the past 4 years, has served as the Care Services Manager.
